The Sturgeon training course(identified informally in aquatic circles as the 637 training course) was a training course of nuclear-powered quick attack submarines (SSN) in service with the United States Navy from the 1960s till 2004. They were the “workhorses” of the Navy’s strike submarine fleet throughout much of the Cold War. The boats were ended in the 1990s along with really early 21st century, as their fans, the Los Angeles, abided by the Seawolf and Virginia-class boats, entered into service.
